It is a discourse was given by the Buddha to bhikkhus at Savatthi to explain the wrong beliefs of other sects speculating on whether the world is finite or infinite, etc. This Sutta can be considered as a survey of various speculative views about the future and the past and of misconceptions about Nibbana.]
